Who We Are

 

Richard Hollis, MBA

Richard became on investment advisor for Houston Asset Management, Inc. in 1995.  His clientele includes closely held corporations, executives, and professionals in several states.  Richard taught the short course, "Financial Strategies for a Successful Retirement," for the University of Houston, Houston Baptist University, and LeTourneau University, and for corporations and churches.

Richard has an MBA from Pepperdine University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Oklahoma State University.  He completed the University of Houston Financial Planning program, a series of courses to attain the CFP
®designation.  He has served on the Program Committee, Education Committee, Membership Committee, and Board of Directors of the Houston Chapter of the International Association of Financial Planning (IAFP) and served more recently as a member of the Board of Directors of the Houston Chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).  He is a member of the American Association of Individual Investors.

Richard
 is a Registered Representative with SagePoint Financial, Inc., a broker/dealer firm registered with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC).  He is also licensed with the Texas State Board of Insurance and offers fixed and traditional insurance through Investment Marketing Resources, LP, not affiliated with SagePoint Financial, Inc.
 
Richard was employed by Shell Oil Company and its affiliates for 30 years, working in economics, engineering, management, and planning before joining Houston Asset Management, Inc.  While with Shell, Richard served on the Pecten Cameroon Company Board of Directors.

Richard and Mary Lynn have been married since 1966.  They have two married daughters and seven grandchildren.  Richard has served as President of the Nottingham Forest Civic Association.  Richard and Mary Lynn are members of Tallowood Baptist Church.
