Bob Hampton, CFP®
Bob Hampton counsels with clients and their families to match their investment objectives with their long-term goals. For over forty years, Bob uses his skills to help his clients understand the complexity and changes in the markets. This gives a strong base to apply personalized financial planning principles to his client's overall objectives.
Bob has been in the securities profession since 1966. Prior to this, Bob was an independent businessman. He attended the University of Texas, but earned his Bachelors in Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree from the University of Houston.
After entering the securities profession, Bob was an Allied Member of the NYSE from 1969 until 1976. Bob became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner in 1977. In 1979, he was acting President of the College for Financial Planning. Bob was on the Board of Regents from 1977 to 1982, and from 1978 through 1982 was on the Executive Board as Vice Chairman for Finance. He has also served as Chairman of the Ethics Committee for the International Association of Financial Planners Houston Chapter from 1981 to 1982. Bob is currently a member of the Financial Planning Association.
In 1999, Bob was awarded The Lifetime Achievement Award1 from his broker-dealer, SagePoint Financial, Inc. This award was given in recognition to Bob’s longstanding commitment to building and growing his business and a genuine desire to assist in the success of others. He is a Registered Principal with SagePoint Financial, Inc., a registered broker/dealer firm and a member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority
Bob is a native Houstonian. He and his wife, Marialice, have three daughters and 8 grandchildren. Bob is a member of First Choice Ministries, which is part of The First United Methodist Church, Downtown Houston. Bob has a multi-engine pilot’s license and has been flying airplanes since 1962.
